Hi! My name is Atley Moberly and I am an incoming senior at the University of Arizona. I am majoring in Molecular and Cellular Biology and Nutritional Sciences with minors in Biochemistry and Spanish. Soon to be 2 years, I have worked with Dr. Paul Langlais where we investigate insulin signaling, insulin resistance, and glucose uptake specifically related to the cytoskeleton of the cell. We are beginning on some new projects to identify key proteins in insulin signaling that I am very excited to be involved in. In the future, I hope to become a physician and work in the field of endocrinology to further delve into the science of diabetes. Outside of academics, I enjoy reading, cooking, and spending time with my friends and family.
