Erica is a senior studying molecular and cellular biology (MCB) and biomedical biology with minors in music and public health. She conducts research in the Campos Lab and is currently investigating how genes in the Human Papillomavirus (HPV) effect a pathway in the innate immune system and how it may lead to cancer interventions. Erica will apply for the health sector of the Peace Corps and plans on pursuing graduate school in public health for microbiology and epidemiology. With her graduate degree she hopes to work for the United States Center for Disease Control and Prevention. Along with science, she enjoys hiking, skiing, community service, and adventure.
