I am a senior majoring in Molecular and Cellular Biology. I have been researching plant reproduction in the Palanivelu lab since transferring from Mesa Community College in 2016. Molecular biology to me is the study of these fascinating little pieces that all work together to make the wonder of life possible. Every day in the lab or in class I am reminded of how complex and delicate each biological system is and yet they are constantly working and changing.
My goal is to one day apply the tools of biotechnology to solve environmental problems. The most precious thing to me is my family and it will be my genuine pleasure to work towards creating a better place for them to live. To this end it is important to me to teach my two kids what I can, and I enjoy doing STEM projects with them. My wife and I are real foodies and there nothing we enjoy more than sharing a new and interesting meal together.
