Hello! My name is Casey Calderon and I’m a sophomore majoring in Physiology and
Theatre Arts. I’m Tucson born and raised and I’ve always wanted to be a Wildcat from a
very early age. Currently, I’m apart of the EHS-TRUE program and I’m working in Dr.
Nathan Cherrington’s lab where we are studying how a type of liver disease impacts various
proteins within the liver. Outside of research, I’m currently a member of the American Indian
Science and Engineering Society (AISES) chapter and do some work with the U of A
theatre department as well. When I’m not in class or studying, I’m probably either cooking
yummy food, doing something theatre-related, or reading/podcasting. Following graduation,
I would like to attend medical school to become either an endocrinologist or family practice
doctor.
