Dominika Heusinkveld is a graduate student working towards dual Masters degrees at the University of Arizona’s Department of Soil, Water, and Environmental Science and the School of Journalism. She is also a physician, and worked for 12 years on the Navajo Reservation in Arizona prior to her graduate studies. She is interested in science and health communication and in translating topics in biological, environmental, and medical sciences to the general public. She is currently also employed as part of a communications team for the Southwest Climate Adaptation Science Center at the University of Arizona.
