I am in my Senior year about to graduate with a degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology. For the past two years I have been researching the neural circuits that regulate feeding and how these circuits are involved in emotional states such as fear, anxiety, and depression. Being a part of UBRP has provided me with a variety of resources and relationships to develop my skills as a researcher. My main hobby is a grappling martial art called Brazilian Jiujitsu. I have been a part of this community since I was 15 years old and has become quite a passion of mine! My future goals include applying to medical school after graduation and during my year off I aim to continue pursuing research at the UofA.
