My name is Luis Helfer and I am currently a Junior at the University of Arizona studying Biochemistry. I’ve always known I wanted to go into a scientific field from a very young age. Research here at the university has helped me solidify the passion I have for Biochemistry/STEM. UBRP has especially allowed me to forge new personal and professional relationships along the way. I have also been heavily involved in the music community through marching band, concert band, and orchestra from about 4th grade until my sophomore year of college. I am now currently studying for my MCAT and am looking to apply for medical school sometime during the summer.
