Show Notes

My name is Ray Lee and I am an upcoming senior at University of Arizona with majors biochemistry and molecular cellular biology. I was born in Seoul, South Korea, but raised in the Bay Area in northern California. I currently work in Dr. Craig Aspinwall’s analytical chemistry lab studying the effects of nitric oxide, a known treatment for heart patients but with an unknown effect on diabetic patients. I have spent the last summer working under the Undergraduate Biology Research Program, working full time while being funded by grants from the National Science Foundation and Office of Provost at University of Arizona. I plan on working as a phlebotomist technician after graduation for one year while preparing for medical school, and eventually, making a career as a cardiac surgeon.
