Hello and welcome! My name is Sara Sillik. I have lived in Tucson, Arizona my entire life. Some of my favorite hobbies include running, hiking, and watching basketball. I am a junior here at the University of Arizona as a Physiology major with a minor in geography. I have had the honor of working in Dr. Brian McKay’s lab for a year and a half now. Our lab’s primary goal is to cure the two leading causes of blindness in the world, age-related macular degeneration (AMD) and glaucoma. Our lab puts all of our efforts to help improve the lives of millions of people who suffer from these two diseases. I hope to make a difference in the field of glaucoma and AMD as a researcher in my undergraduate years and I plan to pursue a career in optometry
