I was born in Cincinnati, Ohio but I’ve lived in Arizona almost my entire life. I graduated from Corona del Sol high school in Tempe, Arizona before coming down to the University of Arizona to study Physiology. I am currently in Dr. Jason Yuan’s lab, which focuses on molecular mechanisms of pulmonary hypertension. My project in the lab looks at how calcium signaling increases vascular smooth muscle cell proliferation to cause increased resistance and blood pressure. Outside the lab, I enjoy hiking, hanging out with friends, and lifting weights at the campus recreation center.
